    C57BL/6 Mouse Astrocytes are primary cells isolated from the brain tissue of pathogen-free C57BL/6 mice. These glial cells exhibit a star-shaped morphology with branched processes . As non-proliferative primary cultures, they are cryopreserved at earliest passage and recommended for use within 3-5 passages to maintain functional integrity, as extended subculturing may lead to senescence. Functionally, these astrocytes support neuronal homeostasis through glutamate uptake, ion balance regulation, and metabolic coupling via glucose-lactate shuttling. They actively participate in blood-brain barrier maintenance and modulate neuroinflammation. Each vial contains at least 1×10^6 cells per ml.
