Description

The CAL-148 cell line was established from the pleural effusion of a 58-year-old female with terminally invasive ductal breast cancer. Cells are round to epitheloid, growing mainly in monolayer and clumps. Cell number may be difficult to ascertain due to growth in clumps; without EGF, cells may grow faster and in suspension.
