Description

COR-L23 is a human large cell undifferentiated lung carcinoma cell line that was originally established in 1985 from the pleural effusion of a 62-year-old Caucasian male patient diagnosed with giant cell anaplastic carcinoma of the lung. COR-L23 exhibits epithelial morphology and adherent culture properties. The karyotype of this cell line is less complex and harbours two translocations. COR-L23 is characterized by c-myc amplification and a KRAS mutation. This cell line is tumorigenic, forming tumors in nude mice.
