Ki-1-positive human T-cell lymphoma cell line. Leukemic phase of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Exhibits Ki-1 antigen (CD30), E+, CD2+, CD4+, CD45+, Ia+, rearranged T-cell receptor beta, acid phosphatase. Negative for CD15, peroxidase, EBNA and HTLV-1 antigen.

    DL-40 is a human Ki-1-positive T-cell lymphoma cell line that was originally isolated from the peripheral blood of a 64-year-old female patient with aggressive large cell lymphoma. DL-40 exhibits lymphoblast morphology and suspension culture properties with or without forming clumps, featuring abundant cytoplasm encompassing large, round, or multiple nuclei that exhibited a positive reaction to acid phosphatase. DL-40 expresses a Ki-1 antigen (CD30), E+, CD2+, CD4+, CD45+, and Ia+; it’s positive for acid phosphatase and negative for peroxidase, Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen, and HTLV-1 antigen. The karyotype of DL-40s shows complex hyperdiploid abnormalities.
