Human Articular Chondrocytes are involved in cartilage regeneration and repair, as well as specific gene regulation. Studies have shown that Human Articular Chondrocytes are implicated in the pathology of arthritis. These cells are characterized by cell staining for S100 and type II collagen. It is negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi.
