Cell Name: Human Bone Marrow Mononuclear Cells

  • Description
Human Bone Marrow Mononuclear Cells originate from human bone marrow and are a heterogenous population composed of monocytes, lymphocytes, mesenchymal stem cells, hematopoietic stem cells and progenitor cells. They include a mixture of immune cells and stem/progenitor cells, primarily mononuclear cells. These are primary cells used directly after isolation and are not passaged in vitro. These cells play a key role in immune defense, hematopoietic regulation and tissue repair. Different subpopulations express characteristic surface markers such as CD14 for monocytes, CD3 for T lymphocytes, CD34 for hematopoietic stem cells, and CD105/CD90 for mesenchymal stem cells, typically identified by flow cytometry. For example, monocytes eliminate pathogens through phagocytosis, lymphocytes participate in specific immune responses, and hematopoietic stem cells maintain the homeostasis of the blood system.
