    Human Cord Blood CD56⁺ NK Cells are primary lymphocytes isolated from healthy human umbilical cord blood, characterized by CD56⁺CD3⁻ phenotype and round, non-adherent suspension morphology. They are a key part of innate immunity, capable of recognizing and killing virus-infected and tumor cells without prior sensitization, mainly through perforin and granzyme release. These cells do not proliferate or undergo passaging, requiring liquid nitrogen cryopreservation to maintain functionality. Normal karyotype has been confirmed. Functionally, they also secrete IFN-γ and TNF-α, enhancing inflammatory and adaptive immune responses. They are extensively studied in cancer immunotherapy, infection, immune regulation, and stem cell transplantation research.
