Cell Name: Human Head and Neck Cancer Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells

  • Description
Human Head and Neck Cancer Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells are immune cells isolated from the peripheral blood of patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). These cells primarily consist of lymphocytes (T cells, B cells, and NK cells) and monocytes. Morphologically, PBMCs are typically small, round cells. PBMCs play a key role in antitumor immune responses T cells mediate cellular immunity, B cells produce antibodies, and NK cells execute innate cytotoxicity, whereas monocytes differentiate into tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) that modulate the tumor microenvironment. In HNSCC, PBMCs often exhibit immune dysfunction, such as T-cell exhaustion or increased secretion of immunosuppressive cytokine, contributing to immune evasion and disease progression.
