Cell Name: Human Hypothyroidism Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells

  • Description
Human Hypothyroidism Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells are derived from the peripheral blood of patients with hypothyroidism. They contain lymphocytes (T cells, B cells, NK cells) and monocytes. Typical mononuclear morphology—round lymphocytes and monocytes with kidney-shaped or lobed nuclei.PBMCs participate in immune regulation and inflammatory response, among which lymphocytes dominate adaptive immunity (such as antibody production and cytotoxicity), and monocytes can differentiate into macrophages or dendritic cells, participating in innate immunity and antigen presentation. Imbalanced secretion of proinflammatory cytokines IL-6, TNF-α; evidence of autoreactive T cell activation. When thyroid function is hypo, the immune function of PBMCs may be abnormal, manifested as an imbalance in the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines (such as IL-6 and TNF-α), or T cell-mediated thyroid tissue damage associated with autoimmune thyroiditis.Functional abnormalities linked to autoimmune thyroiditis and immune-mediated thyroid tissue damage.
