Cell Name: Human Inflammatory Bowel Disease Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells

  • Description
Human Inflammatory Bowel Disease Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells are isolated from the peripheral blood of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), primarily consisting of lymphocytes (T cells, B cells, NK cells) and monocytes. These cells play important roles in immune regulation: T cells mediate adaptive immune responses, B cells produce antibodies, and monocytes can differentiate into macrophages or dendritic cells to participate in antigen presentation and proinflammatory cytokine release. In IBD (including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), PBMCs exhibit an abnormally activated state characterized by enhanced Th1/Th17 cell polarization and impaired regulatory T cell (Treg) function. This imbalance leads to elevated secretion of proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6) that drive chronic intestinal inflammation.
