    Human Leydig Cells (HLC) are derived from the testicular tissue of the male gonads, and located in the interstitium of the testis near the seminiferous tubules. After primary culture, these cells are cryopreserved. Human Leydig Cells (HLC) have the function of producing testosterone. Studies have shown that Human Leydig Cells (HLC) are relevant to the maintenance of spermatogenesis and the regulation of hormones. Stromal cell markers include 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (3β-HSD), 7-dehydrocholesterol reductase (7-DHCR), Calretinin, Cyp17, Cyp11a1, and others. During culture, repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided.
