    Human Liver Sinusoidal Endothelial Cells (HLSECs) are isolated from human liver tissue. In vitro, these cells exhibit anchorage-dependent growth. They typically display an elongated or spindle-like morphology with fenestrations in their cytoplasm, which are characteristic of sinusoidal endothelial cells. HLSECs are highly specialized endothelial cells, and they play a crucial role in liver regeneration following acute liver injury. Through a cascade of complex physiological and molecular interactions, HLSECs initiate and support the repair and restoration of liver tissue structure and function. Moreover, HLSECs are involved in the pathogenesis of various liver-related diseases, such as the occurrence and development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The phenotypic plasticity of HLSECs during liver injury and repair positions them as important therapeutic targets for liver diseases.
