    Human Neural Cells, Uncultured are usually derived from human brain tissue such as cerebral cortex, hippocampus, spinal cord or peripheral nervous system. Morphologically, neural cells present typical neuronal structures including cell bodies, dendrites and axons. These primary neural cells are passage 0 and are unable to undergo repeated passaging due to their limited proliferative capacity. They typically exhibit normal diploid karyotypes and express neural-specific markers such as Nestin, MAP2, and βIII-Tubulin, detectable via immunocytochemistry. The functions of nerve cells include electrical signaling, support and insulation, and neurotransmitter regulation. Abnormalities in these cells have been linked to a variety of diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.
