  • Description
    Human Oligodendrocyte Progenitor Cells (OPCs) are primary glial progenitors derived from the cerebral white matter of healthy adult human donors. These non-adherent CNS-resident cells are capable of proliferation and directed differentiation into myelin-producing oligodendrocytes. They express markers such as NG2, PDGFRα, and O4, and downregulate these upon differentiation. Functionally, OPCs contribute to axonal insulation, remyelination, and neural repair. Impaired OPC differentiation is linked to demyelinating diseases such as multiple sclerosis and leukodystrophies. Cells are confirmed free of mycoplasma, bacteria, fungi, HIV, HBV, and HCV, and cryopreserved under BSL-1 conditions. These cells are ideal for studies of remyelination, neuroinflammation, and CNS regenerative therapies.
