Description

Pulmonary arterial hypertension is characterized by pathological changes typically occurring in the distal pulmonary arterioles of patients, primarily including endothelial proliferation and fibrosis, plexiform lesions, medial hypertrophy, muscularization, and thrombus formation. These persistent pathological alterations in the pulmonary arterioles ultimately lead to malignant pulmonary vascular disease characterized by gradual occlusion of the vascular lumen. Prolonged progressive elevation of pulmonary arterial pressure will result in right heart failure.
Human Pulmonary Hypertension Vascular Endothelial Cells are isolated from pulmonary artery tissue. Each vial contains >5 x 105 cells in 1 ml volume.
