Cell Name: Human Type I Diabetes Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells

  • Description
Human Type I Diabetes Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells are isolated from the peripheral blood of patients with type I diabetes (T1D). Typical mononuclear cells with round nuclei, grow in suspension.Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease characterized by the immune system’s mistaken attack on pancreatic β cells, resulting in an absolute lack of insulin secretion.Altered expression of metabolic and inflammatory markers, increased lipid peroxidation-related genes, dysregulated mitochondrial genes PBMCs from patients with T1D show metabolic abnormalities, with increased lipid accumulation, increased lipid peroxidation, and impaired mitochondrial function when exposed to fatty acids or inflammatory factors (TNF-α) .Functional abnormalities linked to autoimmune destruction of pancreatic β cells, immune dysregulation, and metabolic stress in PBMCs.
