Cell Name: Human Vitiligo Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells

  • Description
Human Vitiligo Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells are a population of mononuclear cells isolated from the peripheral blood of patients with vitiligo, mainly including lymphocytes (T cells, B cells, NK cells) and monocytes. Morphologically, PBMCs are typically round or oval. In vitiligo, PBMCs (especially autoreactive CD8+ T cells) mediate cytotoxicity by recognizing melanocyte antigens (such as tyrosinase-related protein 1/2), leading to melanocyte destruction and skin depigmentation. In addition, abnormal function of regulatory T cells (Treg) and increased secretion of proinflammatory cytokines (such as IFN-γ, TNF-α) further drive autoimmune responses.

  • Application
Human Vitiligo Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells can be used to investigate the immunological mechanism of vitiligo. They can also be used to evaluate the cytotoxic effect of PBMCs on melanocytes, thereby identifying potential pathogenic T cell subsets. These cells can also be applied to test the efficacy of immunomodulatory therapies (such as JAK inhibitors, IL-15 antagonists) and evaluate their inhibitory effects on T cell activation and cytokine release.
