Description

Muscles can be divided into muscle belly and tendon. The thinner milky-white parts at both ends are tendons, appearing as fibrous or flat bands, composed of parallel bundles of collagen fibers. They are pale in color, glossy, but lack contractile ability. Tendons attach to bones, firmly woven together with the periosteum at the bone attachment. They belong to connective tissue. Simultaneously, the surface of the muscle belly is covered with a connective tissue outer membrane. Toward both ends, it merges with tendon tissue. These connective tissues are composed of fibroblasts and have supporting, connecting, protective, and nutritional functions.
primary porcine skeletal muscle fibroblasts are derived from the normal leg muscle tissue of experimental animals. Each vial contains 5×10^5 cells with a volume of 1 ml. Immunofluorescence staining for Vimentin is positive. The cell purity is identified to be higher than 90%. The cells are free from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi.
