Description

The thymus is a vital lymphatic organ in the body. Its function is closely related to immunity, serving as the site for T-cell differentiation, development, and maturation. Additionally, it secretes thymic hormones and hormone-like substances, making it an organ with endocrine capabilities. The thymus has a capsule of connective tissue on its surface, and this connective tissue extends into the thymic parenchyma, dividing it into many incompletely separated lobules. These connective tissues are composed of fibroblasts, acting as supporting cells that provide protection and support to other cells.
primary porcine thymic fibroblasts are derived from the normal thymus tissue of experimental animals. Each vial contains 5×10^5 cells with a volume of 1 ml. Immunofluorescence staining for fibronectin or vimentin is positive. The cell purity is identified to be higher than 90%. The cells are free from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi.
