    The cornea is a transparent membrane located on the anterior surface of the eyeball, occupying approximately the front 1/6 of the fibrous membrane. When viewed from the back, the cornea is round, and when viewed from the front, it appears as an elliptical shape. The thickness of the cornea varies in different parts, with the central part being the thinnest. The cornea is divided into five layers, from front to back: epithelial cell layer, anterior elastic layer, stromal layer, posterior elastic layer, and endothelial cell layer.
    The in vitro culture of corneal epithelial cells is a crucial method for studying the physiology, pathology, immunology, and molecular biology of the cornea. It is commonly used to investigate cell metabolism products, viral infections, and the effects of various growth factors and drugs on cell growth.
    primary rabbit corneal epithelial cells are derived from the normal eye tissues of experimental animals. Each vial contains 5×10^5 cells with a volume of 1 ml. Immunofluorescence staining for pan-cytokeratin (PCK) is positive. The cell purity is identified to be higher than 90%.
