    RC-K8 is a human lymphoma cell line that was originally isolated from the peritoneal effusion of a patient with histiocytic lymphoma. RC-K8exhibits pleomorphic morphology and suspension growth characteristics. Analysis of the RC-K8 chromosome revealed complex abnormalities, including translocations involving chromosomes 11 and 14. RC-K8 cells respond to monoclonal antibodies targeting B cell antigens (B1 and Leu12) and Ia antigens (OKIa1), and they exhibit immunoglobulin gene rearrangements despite the lack of surface and cytoplasmic immunoglobulins.
