Description

RD is a human Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (ERMS) cell line that was originally isolated from biopsy specimens of a 7-year-old female with a pelvic RMS previously treated with cyclophosphamide and radiation and found to have refractory disease. RD exhibits fibroblast-like morphology and adherent culture properties. Rhabdomyosarcoma (RD) displays embryonal histology and a 51-hyperdiploid chromosome karyotype. RD has been shown to harbor MYC oncogene amplification, an NRAS Q61H mutation, and a homozygous TP53 mutation.
