Description

WM-266-4 is a human malignant melanoma cell line that was originally isolated from the skin metastatic site of a 58-year-old female patient with metastatic melanoma. WM-266-4 exhibits epithelial-like morphology and adherent growth characteristics. It is hypertriploid, harboring a V600D mutation in the BRAF gene and homozygous deletion of PTEN. N-RAS, c-KIT ,and CDK4 genes are wild-type. WM-266-4 is tumorigenic.
